AIHF is a distinctive collaboration of established medical and health professionals whose integrated care and services shape the framework for an innovative concept and business model: integrative healthcare & fitness. It is an innovative healthcare delivery structure where individuals may receive primary and specialty medical care, and also choose from a spectrum of inter-connected health programs and services focused on the attainment of optimum lifelong health through prevention and total wellness. It is unique in its grouping of independently owned businesses and providers into a synergistic comprehensive state-of-the-art healthcare system in one convenient location that prioritizes the total health and well-being of each individual.

Our integrative healthcare & fitness concept is in part a response to the continuing fragmentation of our mainstream healthcare system, which offers high quality but also high cost and often an unacceptable inconvenience in the daily pace of our lives. It is also a response to tremendous nationwide interest in physical fitness, nutrition, and supportive lifestyle counseling services. Research invariably indicates a powerful connection between good preventive health habits and good health. AIHF offers the highest level of quality mainstream patient care individuals expect and also locates under the same roof the various modern health related opportunities they seek to live a healthier life. Our concept features medical integrity, individual choice, tailored programs, integrated providers, and customer convenience.

AIHF is designed to become a new healthcare model, a single destination where individuals can receive coordinated medical care and a full spectrum of health programs and services designed to synergistically assist them in achieving and maintaining their optimum level of good health. Individuals will have multiple entry points into AIHF from which to choose, e.g. their primary care physician, a health club membership, a visit to the spa or nutrition center, a specific counseling or educational program, an annual physical at the executive health center, or a checkup with their dentist. As the model evolves, they will be able to communicate with concierge support staff for information and direction on all services. We envision this concept to be distinguished by our integration model, best-in-class providers, convenience, unsurpassed service, access to the best health information available in this country, a tranquil yet dynamic and pristine setting. The most significant factor in determining the success of our concept will be our level of integration.

Our business model projects AIHF Raleigh to be the flagship from which to develop other integrative healthcare & fitness centers across the country, and maybe in select other countries. These decisions will be made as we continually refine the concept and realize anticipated outcomes, including individual optimum health attainment, individual customer satisfaction, a reduction in the overall cost of healthcare with no diminution in quality and business operating profit. Critical to all business decisions will be a belief in consumer driven healthcare and a corresponding resolute commitment to established values and principles, e.g. cognizance of human needs including affiliation, dignity, contribution, and knowledge.

Currently, we are focusing on three strategies for the expansion of our concept and business model to new locations: I. a full AIHF comparable in components to AIHF Raleigh; II. a streamlined model at a more replicable size of about 50,000 sq ft we have named HealthFit; and III. a health village/wellness community/lifestyle campus anchored by an AIHF or HealthFit. Also, we may look at AIHF as a destination focal point for developments such as an age-focused community and a resort.
